When we entered this race some look at us and see a fashion model, a mountain racer and a gorpcore freak with that GFY RUN_█ gathered to play a joke on the trail running community. They do not understand the nature of the frontier.
Nature is not a single, peaceful entity. It is a violent, beautiful friction between opposing forces.
Inés is the Shifting Dune. She represents the impermanent, aesthetic surface of the wilderness—always in transition, shaped by the wind, defined by how she catches the light. She is the gold cape floating on the sand.
Freya is the Bedrock. She represents the ancient, unyielding structure of the earth—rugged, permanent, absorbing the violence of the storm without moving. She is the caked mud and the granite.
In Japan, we do not choose between the wind and the mountain; we know they require one another to exist. I do not run to separate them. I am merely the empty space—the valley—where these two forces meet and harmonize.
